Reinad Buddha Brooch of Enlightenment

~ This stunning brooch is a considerable work of art: the mask has been made from a separate piece of metal, which has then been prong-set onto the background plate.

~ The head is covered with exotic engravings.

~ There appear to be earrings at the ears.

~ The background of the brooch is circular, made with dozens of "rays", the symbols of enlightenment, and each ray contains a bezel-set, clear, faceted crystal at its end.

~ The brooch measures 2.25" across and has a nice heft to it.

~ The reverse is signed "REINAD" and has the standard swivel-head safety clasp.

c. 1940, all stones are original, and all are in perfect condition. Probably part of the Asian series of Reinad jewelry. Not commonly found.
