1930's Dangling Glass Leaves and Beads Charm Necklace

NWS 3-340

~ There must be at least a hundred red, green and blue glass beads and carved glass leaves dangling from this silver-tone necklace! Each leaf is shaped in a gently curling form that makes them look real, and they even have the veins in them.

~ These leaves are suspended from a silvertone snake chain, or, as they called it in the 1930's, "gas pipe". This snake band is substantial, measuring 3/8th" thick, and is rounded.

~ The design starts with glass beads in colorful clusters, which have been looped onto the neck band. Then short strands of dangling, glass leaves get progressively longer, with the longest strands at the center. The longest of these "leaf chains" is  4.5" long.

~ Colors include frosted and clear white glass, and multiple shades of reds, blues, greens, with some beads and glass pearls mixed in.

~ This fabulous necklace measures 16.25" long.

c. 1930, in excellent condition, a unique, one-of-a-kind creation, right out of the American Depression era.

Price = $285.00
