~ As with some designers' jewelry, the older pieces are often the best. Marcel Boucher's early jewelry is extremely desirable. I always look for the "phrygian Cap" logo - used on his earliest pieces - for the best of his creations. This phenomenal brooch has that logo incised on the reverse, just above the "MB", along with the number "2806". The design is quintessential Retro Period (1938-1950).

~ The brooch is made of 2 gently swirling elements that have been riveted together, such that they are intertwined. The silvertone section is loaded with pavé set, faceted, faux diamonds which give considerable sparkle to the piece. These crystal stones have been set into rhodium plated metal, a perfect backdrop that makes them absolutely brilliant.

~  This beautiful brooch measures 3.25" long and 1.65" wide.
