Kenneth J. Lane Peridot & Diamond Tree Brooch

Sold

NWS 14-1542

~ Kenneth J. Lane understood women, and he honored them with beautiful jewelry. Why do you think the Duchess of Windsor preferred Kenneth's designs? She had access to the best jewelers in the world and could easily afford "the Crown Jewels", but she preferred Kenneth J. Lane! In fact, Lane's jewelry quickly became famous world-wide, and the long list of his customers includes the rich and famous, like Sophia Loren, Barbara Bush, Jackie Kennedy, and Nancy Reagan.

~ We can start with the fact that Lane used only the very best crystals (Swarovski) in his designs. In fact, Swarovski custom designed some stones solely for Lane's jewelry that no other designers had access to. So when you're buying Lane, you know you're getting the very best.

~ This wonderful, golden tree has leaves of faceted, oval crystals in a shimmery, peridot color. Ten of them dangle from golden branches, and they move as you move.

~ At the top of each peridot stone is a single, faceted, faux diamond which makes the tree look as though it has been graced by morning dew. Five more clear crystals are scattered at the roots of the tree. All of these crystals have been prong-set by hand.

~ The tree itself has been made with several thick strands of gold colored metal that divide at the base to form the roots. As they "grow" upwards, the split into individual branches, with graceful, curving lines. So lovely!

~ This wonderful brooch measure almost 2" high and 2" wide.

~ From Kenneth J. Lane's book, Faking It, this is a photo of Sophia Loren wearing one of Lane's necklaces with matching earrings.

~ Stamped onto back, KJL©

~ In mint condition, and all stones are original.
