Pearl & Diamond Clip Earrings

~ Got a leather jacket? Perfect. Leather goes so well with pearls. Always do the unexpected. Although there's no doubt these beauties are dressy, I love the idea of wearing a few sparklies with jeans and a tee. Sweep your hair up, clip these comfy's on, and off you go looking fab, and, of course, different from the rest.

 ~ These earrings are unsigned, but are marked on the reverse "Pat. 156452" which is a patent for the clip mechanism, dated December 13, 1949.

~ Except for the large, marquise diamond - one each prong-set at the top of each earring - the rest of the faceted crystals have been pavè set into thickly plated rhodium metal for perpetual brilliance. Indeed these earrings are over 60 years old. Hard to believe from the way they look!

~ Each earring has 4 glass pearls in a creamy white color.

~ They measure 2.18" long and .75" wide.

c. 1949, all original stones, in exquisite condition, no loss and no scratches to the coating of the glass pearls.
