Monet Art Deco Collar NWS 11-1622
~ Here's a little known secret: Monet is the oldest costume jewelry company in continuous operation in the United States. Yup, they opened their doors back in the 19th century, and they've stayed open ever since. There's a reason for that. Quality materials, stunning designs and reasonable prices. This isn't brain surgery. ~ For heaven's sake, look at this collar, made probably back in the 1950's. It's over a half century old, but it looks good as new. This is not some flimsy little thin piece of junk. It is heavy and well made, and those diamond-shaped segments on either side of the necklace are moveable plates that link the arms to the front and back of the collar. This is very well made and way cool looking. ~ The design includes Etruscan-style beading and 7 large, glass cabochons for vivid color. ~ The collar is hard to measure because of its built-in curvature, but it will fit up to an 18" neck comfortably. ~ The necklace terminates with a folding clasp. ~ The reverse is signed "Monet" on a signature plaque; clasp is also signed. Price = $223.00 nex 4, k-p, deco Who is Monet? ~ Fabulous FacetsTM ~ |
