Edwardian Gold Filigree Brooch

on Hold

NWS 11-840

- As light as lace, this brass filigree brooch is a last gasp from the Edwardian era, but you can see in this transitional piece, that brooches are now beginning, in the early 20th century, to become larger and brighter, with more mixed, colorful stones in unusual, "artistic" cuts. While the brooch retains its traditional "C" clasp, not much of the rest of it can be called traditional.

- The ornate, filigree metal in this brooch is gold tone brass, and it's in perfect condition

- At the center is a large and very unusual round stone; its outer edge is faceted, and it is deeply concave at the center which is also faceted, causing the brooch to cast actual spokes of light.

- There are topaz crystals, as well as faux emeralds, sapphires and rubies, all in great condition.

c. 1910, in super great condition, big, and totally fun.

Measures 2.75" wide and 1.5" high

Price = $78.00on Hold
